In our latest updates we mentioned several times that we were waiting the German warehouse to unpack everything. Our partner is Spieleschmiede. When we run a project on Kickstarter and Spieleschmiede the delivery starts with the Smithies, since they are less and this is our agreement. We believe that by now everything is unpacked so a couple of days ago they sent us an email about the Bedtime Story products:
The Bedtime Story boxed game misses a punchboard with tokens which you must use in some scenarios and
the foam boxes came emtpy.
Thankfully the people in the warehouse sent very few packages before any serious damage occurs. They informed us immediately about this problem. We contacted the factory in China asking them to fix this and send any missing items. In this production we are waiting for some English and German games, both painted and unpainted, all 12 Realms games with their subproducts, Raid and Trade, their expansions and all sub-products. As it looks, the factory messed up some things. We explained the situation, that we have delayed a lot and now this is just too much.
Yesterday we got an email from the factory that they will send the missing items. We are talking with them to see the delivery time and the ocean and air freight and costs so we can end this. Important note: In the sample we received in the summer so we can confirm production, the game was just fine. We also had checked several versions of the foam boxes and how they fit perfectly…. and then…. this happened.
We are obliged to inform you about this. From our beginning as a company we were always honest and we do not hide. We have delivered most of our games without big delays or anything else and we always inform you for our every step because we believe that this is what we must do. This time, mistakes happened and this is quite serious. Now please pay attention: if we ship now the stuff then Bedtime Story will be not complete and the foam boxes will be empty. We can’t cover a 2nd shipment of large packages to all backers because the shipping fees will be doubled for us for everyone which is too much. We put pressure on the factory at this moment to give us the exact delivery date for the missing items so we can send you the rewards.
These are all the facts, we have not kept anything hidden. Most of you know MAGE from the past and you know we are reliable. There is nothing we cannot fix but that was really a hit for us this time. Aside your rewards we were planning for holiday offers to stores etc and now this happened. In any case we really hope that you support us in this, as we are working on it to fix it fast.
