Completing the map tiles!
Hi Dungeon Heroes,
let’s dig this project and discover all its secrets!
The total amount of tiles in the game is 13. The starting tile, the square one and then the rest rooms. The tiles have been designed in a specific way and carry specific elements:
a. Each tile is numbered. The reason is because of the Exploration Cards. Each tile has its own cards. We start with 3 different cards in the core game but in the future we could have unlimited cards. The exploration cards show you what you will add on the map tile. Where you will place the Heroes, the sceneries, the bad guys etc. In order to understand which card matches with a tile, we placed numbers, so this will be so easy to tell.
b. Grid. As you will notice each map tile is divided in smaller squares. The size of each square is a perfect fit for the hero minis and the basic minions. The grid help us too when we create a new tile. It guide us how complex we can do it and what type of exploration cards we can create.
c. Connection Point. Each map tile has a bright point. That point shows you how you can connect the map tiles. This way you will have a variety of dungeon formations.
d. Dark Wizard – Market: You will find this little guy on some tiles, not on all of them and he is placed aways away from the entry-exit points of the tiles. Sometimes it will be hard to approach him cause the Minions will protect him! However, when you reach him you will be able to explore and buy new items!
At this point these are the base elements we have designed for the tiles. For the future though, we plan to make some quite challenging map collections in different locations like the Snow Realms, the Cursed Forest and more.
